Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar while holding a joint press conference with Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar and Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Makam in Lahore on Sunday said that today another 540 Pakistani students are returning home on three commercial flights. And a special Air Force plane will leave for Bishkek to bring back 130 civilians.

He said that 140 Pakistani students had returned last day, thus a total of 830 students are returning.

Ishaq Dar said that he was supposed to leave for Bishkek today on the instructions of the Prime Minister, but his Kyrgyz counterpart requested him to cancel the visit as it would send a wrong message to the world and the issue would be brought to the attention of the Kyrgyz Party. Ishaq Dar said that the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan told him that a total of 16 foreign students from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Egypt were injured in the violent incidents, including four or five Pakistani students who are being treated in various hospitals. .

Ishaq Dar further said that not only Pakistani students but foreign students from Bangladesh, India and other countries were targeted in these incidents but now the situation there is under control.

The Foreign Minister said that the Pakistani embassy in Bishkek is providing all possible assistance to the students while the emergency unit has also been restored in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He said that the Prime Minister himself is constantly reviewing the situation and is in constant contact with the officials of the Foreign Office of Kyrgyzstan, and yesterday his affairs were summoned to the Foreign Office and a protest was recorded.

He said that he will send officials to Bishkek for an independent investigation of the incident.

Ishaq Dar said that there was no untoward incident after Friday and the rumors circulating on social media were baseless.

He said that it is unfortunate that hateful propaganda is being done on social media.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif had directed the Pakistani Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Hasan Ali Zaigham to make arrangements for a special plane to bring the Pakistani students back home.

According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office on Sunday, while contacting the Pakistani Ambassador by telephone, the Prime Minister directed him to make arrangements for a special plane. It will reach Pakistan.

According to the statement: "On the direction of the Prime Minister, all the expenses of the special aircraft will be borne by the Government of Pakistan."

The statement added: 'Injured Pakistani students should be brought to Pakistan on priority basis.'

Earlier on Saturday,  after the violent incidents against Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif  decided to send Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to Bishkek.

According to official news agency APP, according to the statement released by the media wing of the Prime Minister's Office on Saturday night, 'Along with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister, the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Maqam will also go to Kyrgyzstan.'

According to APP, the two ministers will leave for Bishkek on Sunday by a special plane.

According to the statement, the Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister will hold meetings with senior government officials in Bishkek and ensure the provision of medical facilities to the injured students. The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will also review the issues related to the return of Pakistani students.

The statement further said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif continued to review the situation last day and was in touch with the Pakistani ambassador in Bishkek even though the situation was satisfactory, he decided to send this delegation to provide necessary support and facilities to Pakistani students. has been decided.

The Prime Minister has directed that all possible help should be provided to the affected Pakistani students. He also directed that those who want to return to Pakistan should be given the facility to bring them back at the government expense.

Earlier, a flight carrying about 140 Pakistani citizens from Bishkek reached Lahore on Saturday night following violent incidents involving foreign students in Kyrgyzstan.
