“There is nothing left to distribute.” The United Nations warns of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned on Saturday of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, in light of the continuation of the Israeli war on the Strip and the closure of the crossings to humanitarian aid.

The UN office said in a post on the X platform that “there is almost nothing left to distribute in the Gaza Strip.”

He added, "The water and sanitation situation is rapidly deteriorating, and with aid blocked, people can only resort to using rubble and waste to meet their needs."

The Palestinians suffer from a severe scarcity of all basic materials, which has caused famine and disastrous conditions as a result of the war launched by Israel on the Gaza Strip with American support, and the strict Israeli restrictions.

The Israeli war on Gaza, supported militarily, politically, and intelligence by Washington, left more than 114,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.

Israel has continued the war since October 7, 2023, despite the issuance of a resolution by the UN Security Council to immediately stop the fighting, and also despite the International Court of Justice demanding immediate measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
