The Russian Ministry of Health has instructed drug producers to amend the instructions and add new possible side effects to medications containing ibuprofen, such as dermatitis and Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
As for medications intended for external use that contain the active ingredient “ibuprofen,” information must be added about the risk of severe skin reactions, such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, erythema multiforme, exfoliative dermatitis, toxic epidermal necrolysis, and acute exanthematous blisters. Information about these serious diseases should also be added.
