At dawn on Monday, the Israeli occupation army carried out a campaign of raids, incursions and arrests that affected several cities and towns in the West Bank, according to local Palestinian sources.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli occupation army raided the cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh (central), the city of Qalqilya (north), and towns in the Hebron and Bethlehem governorates.

Witnesses indicated that "confrontations broke out between dozens of Palestinians and the Israeli occupation army," in which the latter used "live bullets and tear gas bombs."

They explained that "a clash took place between Palestinian militants and the Israeli army in the city of Qalqilya."

In the city of Ramallah, the Israeli army raided several neighborhoods and arrested at least one citizen.

Witnesses indicated that the Israeli occupation army launched a massive arrest campaign in the city of Hebron, targeting approximately 14 Palestinians. They indicated that the army searched homes and searched their contents.

According to witnesses, the occupation army arrested a number of Palestinians during the raids, while no official updated statistics were issued regarding the total number of detainees.

In a related context, today (Monday), the Israeli occupation army demolished a Palestinian residential building in the town of Artas in the Bethlehem Governorate, south of the West Bank.

An Israeli force stormed the town of Artas, south of Bethlehem, and began the process of demolishing a five-storey residential building.

Witnesses indicated that the army demolished the building even though it was built about 20 years ago, under the pretext of building without a permit.

The witnesses explained that the building owner submitted official papers to the relevant authorities, including an Israeli court, and has not received any response since then.

The targeted building is located in Area C, where Israeli authorities prohibit construction without permits, which are almost impossible to obtain, Palestinians say.

The Oslo II Agreement (1995) classified the West Bank into 3 areas: “A” subject to full Palestinian control, “B” subject to Israeli security, civil, and Palestinian administrative control, and “C” subject to Israeli civil, administrative, and security control.

In parallel with the devastating war on Gaza, settlers escalated their attacks, and the Israeli occupation army escalated its operations in the West Bank, which led in total to the martyrdom of 506 Palestinians since October 7, the injury of about 5,000, and the arrest of 8,775 arrests, according to official Palestinian data.

While the Israeli war on Gaza left more than 114,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.

Israel continues the war on Gaza despite the issuance of a resolution by the UN Security Council to stop the fighting immediately, and also despite the International Court of Justice demanding that it take immediate measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
