Chelsea midfield star, Ecuadorian Moise Caicedo, scored a historic goal during his team's match against its guest, Bournemouth, on Sunday, in the final round of the English Premier League.
The Ecuadorian international's goal came in the 18th minute, when the ball reached him in the middle of the field, after an incorrect exit by the Bournemouth goalkeeper, and he shot it directly from afar into the net.
The Opta statistics network reported that Caicedo's goal is the furthest in the history of the English Premier League (46 metres), since former Everton captain Wayne Rooney scored a goal against West Ham United in November 2017, from a distance of 53 metres.
Caicedo joined Chelsea from Brighton last summer in a huge deal worth 115 million pounds sterling.
