South Africa: the death toll from the collapse rises to at least 32

In South Africa, a week after the collapse of a building in George, the toll is rising. 32 dead and 13 people hospitalized and 20 others are still missing. This Tuesday, eight bodies were taken out of the rubble. And the search continues with slim hopes of finding survivors.

“The mission is continuing as quickly as possible and as carefully as possible, but with a little luck, and we think it is possible that there is still life down there,” said Mario Ferreira , regional representative, Gift of the Givers

Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing. The authorities are investigating to determine who is responsible for this tragedy, the causes of which continue to fuel the mystery.
