Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said that US dominance since the end of the Cold War has come to an end.
The Indian Foreign Minister added in an interview with PTI that the United States is still the leading power in the world, but for a number of reasons we can say that the gap between it and the next group of powers has become much smaller than before.
He noted that the United States itself "changed its position in relation to the world."
According to him, the world is changing rapidly, and the list of leading countries in the world is also changing.
“We ourselves are part of these changes,” Jaishankar said, recalling that 10 years ago India was ranked tenth in the economic development ranking, and now it ranks fifth and aims to occupy third place.
Earlier, against the backdrop of the political conflict in the United States and the polarization between the Republican and Democratic parties, the Financial Times said that Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential elections will represent the end of Western hegemony on the global arena, and Europe must be prepared for that.
