How to promote healthy hair growth?

Hair loss is caused by a large number of factors, ranging from hormonal problems and hypothyroidism to autoimmune diseases or skin conditions.

The famous doctor, Amir Khan, explained to his followers on Instagram that hair growth can be promoted through daily food, and said: “Eating a balanced diet rich in proteins, vitamins, and minerals may help promote hair growth.”

Khan advises eating eggs, which contain high levels of protein that is beneficial for hair, and so-called biotin, which is necessary for hair protein and keratin.

He also praised eggs for containing zinc (0.53 mg in a large hard-boiled egg) and selenium, which "supports healthy hair growth."

He recommends adding berries to the diet, saying: “Berries contain vitamin C, which is needed to produce collagen, which can strengthen hair, and a lot of antioxidants, which can help protect hair from damage.”

He also calls for eating dark green leafy vegetables, such as cabbage and broccoli, because they contain folic acid, iron, vitamin A and vitamin C.

He also praised omega-3 fatty acids that are often found in fish, including salmon, as well as walnuts and flax seeds. He explained, "Nuts and seeds also contain vitamin E, which is believed to be a healthy antioxidant for hair."

It is reported that a person loses about 50 to 100 hairs daily. Sometimes, hair loss can be a warning sign of a medical condition such as iron deficiency.
