Hong Kong media revealed that social media photos of Peng Liyuan’s military position were suspected of being exposed

Hong Kong's "Sing Tao Daily" published a photo circulated on social media on May 5. The photo was accompanied by a statement: "Peng Liyuan, a full-time member of the Cadre Evaluation Committee of the Central Military Commission, came to the school to investigate the construction of a high-level talent team."

Reports say that after Peng Liyuan, wife of CCP leader Xi Jinping, resigned as dean of the People's Liberation Army Art Academy in 2017, her position in the military was unknown. The photo circulated online of Peng Liyuan wearing a military uniform while conducting research seems to have exposed her current military position.

The report quoted information showing that the Central Military Commission Cadre Evaluation Committee was established in 2016. The agency is described as "an important measure to comprehensively and thoroughly implement the Chairman's Responsibility System of the Military Commission and ensure accurate and scientific selection and appointment of personnel; it is a new exploration to adapt to the reform of the leadership and command system and enhance the credibility and authority of selection and appointment of personnel."

In the photo, Peng Liyuan is wearing a military uniform with official military rank and is accompanied by multiple military personnel. However, the authenticity or shooting date of this seemingly official news picture cannot be verified at present.
