The Axios portal reported, citing unnamed Israeli officials, that the United States stopped sending ammunition and weapons to Tel Aviv for the first time since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.
The portal said: “Israeli officials said that the supply of ammunition to Israel stopped last week.”
She noted that this suspension of supplies is the first since October of last year, when Hamas attacked Israel.
He stressed that this halt raised "severe concern" in the Israeli government.
Last Friday, 88 Democratic representatives in the US House of Representatives urged President Joe Biden to consider stopping arms supplies to Israel if the Israeli government does not change its management of its war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
In a letter delivered to the White House, members of Congress expressed “grave concerns about the Israeli government’s management of the war in Gaza in relation to its deliberate detention and slowing of humanitarian aid.”
They stressed that the restrictions imposed by Israel on the delivery of Washington-backed humanitarian aid to Gaza "contributed to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe for the population."
