The Wall Street Journal reported that former US President Donald Trump, in talks with European leaders, described Ukraine as "part of Russia."
The newspaper reported that Trump had often complained in the past about Washington's support for Kiev.
The newspaper added, citing American officials, that Trump considered Ukraine in his talks with European leaders as “their Ukraine” and “part of Russia.”
The Guardian newspaper quoted Fiona Hill, the former director of Russia affairs at the White House National Security Council, as saying that Trump believed during his years that Ukraine should be part of Russia .
The former US president stated several times that he could put an end to the conflict in Ukraine by pressuring the Kiev regime to cede Crimea and Donbass to Russia.

Trump's reported comments about Ukraine being "part of Russia" reflect a controversial perspective on a sensitive issue. Such remarks could undermine international support for Ukraine and raise questions about the U.S. stance on European security and territorial integrity.
