Transferring 29 million shekels in the possession of Hamas to the Bank of Israel

Ofir Gendelman, spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the Israeli army and the Ministry of Defense transferred 29 million shekels seized in the Gaza Strip to the “Bank of Israel.”

Ofir Gendelman claimed in a blog post on the “X” platform on Thursday that this amount was in the possession of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Prime Minister's spokesman stated that this amount is in addition to 17 million shekels seized at Hamas headquarters in Gaza since the start of the war.

He stated that these amounts will be spent on supporting and well-being of the Israelis.

The spokesman posted a video clip documenting the process of counting the securities and transferring them to the Bank of Israel.
