NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on the allies to quickly move from promises to support Ukraine to actually begin supplying weapons.
Stoltenberg said in a joint press conference held in Germany with Chancellor Olaf Scholz: Many allies have made new promises to support Ukraine. It is necessary to move from promises to actual implementation of these promises.
He also called on NATO allies to follow the example of Germany, which promised Ukraine a Patriot battery.
Many Western politicians and military leaders admitted that the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine is clearly changing in Russia's favor.
Ukraine also suffers from a shortage of equipment due to the large number of deaths and equipment due to its heavy reliance on supplies from the West, which shows less enthusiasm in providing military support to Ukraine after a series of failures, especially the failed counterattack that took place last summer.
For its part, Russia has repeatedly stressed that the West sending weapons to Ukraine and helping to train the Ukrainian army only leads to prolonging the conflict and does not change the situation on the battlefield.
