Saudi Arabia : Heavy rains, torrential rains cutting off streets and sweeping away vehicles

Today, Monday, social media pioneers shared video clips documenting heavy rains in several Saudi governorates, causing strong torrential rains to form within these governorates.

Al-Eis Governorate, in the Medina region of Saudi Arabia, witnessed such heavy rains that led to torrents flowing within the governorate.

The people were surprised by heavy rains, which caused the reefs and valleys to flood with tremendous force. The torrential rains caused roads to be cut off, vehicles to be swept away, and some roads to collapse in the governorate. Meanwhile, the relevant agencies began inspecting several damaged sites.

In turn, the Directorate of Civil Defense in the Medina region called on everyone to take caution, asking everyone to stay away from valleys and flood streams and not to risk crossing the valleys or descending into them.

It called on all vehicles to pay attention while traveling on agricultural roads between governorates, centers, villages and villages, and to follow the civil defense instructions and guidelines issued at the time.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi National Center of Meteorology raised the alert level to red on Monday in the Medina region, expecting heavy rain accompanied by thunderbolts.

The center explained the warning period; Pointing to its inclusion of the Ais; During the period from twelve o'clock in the afternoon until eleven o'clock in the evening on Monday.

The Meteorological Center expected that this period would witness heavy rains accompanied by high-speed winds, lack of horizontal visibility, hail, thunderbolts, and torrential rains. This is a video clip that was circulated on “X”:
