Russia is developing a hybrid cyber system that protects important facilities from drone attacks

A new hybrid system has emerged in Russia that will protect important facilities from drone attacks.

The system was called "Pyatnitsa" (Friday). It will be unveiled at the “Army-2024” international military-technical forum, which will be held between August 12 and 18 in the town of Kubinka on the outskirts of Moscow.

The system's designer, Stanislav, said: "At the forum, we will present a system that combines automatic machine gun platforms and neural networks that will give us the opportunity to command various weapons and devices in a large area. The technology we have created will be based on the best findings of our cybersecurity sector and the industry that produces weapons."

The designer pointed out that the aforementioned system will allow the protection of facilities with large areas, including industrial enterprises that are exposed to attacks by Ukrainian marches. He said that the "Friday" system would allow finding an optimal option to influence the marches based on various factors.

He commented on naming the system “Friday,” saying: “There is no hidden meaning, and we chose that name because the system was invented on Friday.”
