Palestinian Crossings Authority: The Israeli army releases 101 Gaza detainees

The Palestinian General Authority for Crossings and Borders announced that the Israeli army released 101 Palestinian prisoners it had arrested from the Gaza Strip, via the Kerem Shalom crossing.

The Israeli army had arrested these prisoners earlier during its military operations in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" previously revealed atrocities committed against Palestinian prisoners from the Gaza Strip, who were arrested during the current war and transferred to various detention centers, including field ones.

Last February, Israel detained 20,528 Palestinians, that is, 6,000 more than the prison service’s maximum capacity of 14,500 prisoners, according to Haaretz newspaper.

The newspaper stressed that prison overcrowding has become a "serious problem" since the outbreak of the war in Gaza.
