Pakistan made the legend who won the World Cup title for India the coach of ODI and T-20 team

Pakistan Cricket Team, T-20 World Cup is to be held in June. In such a situation, Pakistan Board has taken a big decision by appointing a big veteran as the coach.

Pakistan New Head Coach:  Gary Kirsten, who was the head coach of the Indian team in the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011, has been appointed by Pakistan as the new coach of the team. Apart from this, Azhar Mahmood, who recently played the role of head coach during the T20 series against New Zealand, will remain a part of the team as assistant coach for all formats. At the same time, Pakistan has appointed former Australian bowler Jason Gillespie as the coach for the Test (Jason Gillespie Test Team Coach for Pakistan). Let us tell you that in the year 2011, when Gary Kirsten was the coach, India won the ODI World Cup title after 28 years under the captaincy of Dhoni. Now Gary Kirsten will coach Pakistan. Actually, T-20 World Cup is to be held in June. In such a situation, the Pakistan Board has taken a big decision by appointing Gary Kirsten as the coach. Apart from this, Pakistan has appointed former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie as the coach for the Test. Pakistani fans and cricket fans are very happy with this decision of Pakistani board. Actually, both these players have been among the great players of their time. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see what position Pakistan cricket team reaches in world cricket under the coaching of both of them.  

Let us tell you that Gary Kirsten has played the role of head coach of franchises like Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL. Kirsten also became the batting coach and mentor of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024. Kirsten has played 101 Tests and 185 ODI matches in his career. In Tests, Gary has succeeded in scoring 21 centuries and 34 half-centuries, whereas in ODI, he has a total of 13 centuries and 45 half-centuries to his name.
