Erdogan discusses with the government the recent escalation between Israel and Iran

TRT Haber channel reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will discuss with his cabinet on Tuesday the recent escalation between Israel and Iran.

The channel added: “The Cabinet is holding a meeting in the Presidential Complex with an intense agenda after a break of a month and a half. The recent tensions between Iran and Israel will be the hottest topic in the meeting. Turkish diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tension in the Middle East will be evaluated.”

She added that the meeting will also address the issue of conducting anti-smuggling operations near the Turkish border.

She said: "It is scheduled to expand counter-terrorism operations next summer, especially in northern Iraq, and in this regard, an appropriate assessment will be provided." The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced
on Saturday evening that it had carried out a drone and missile operation in response to Israel’s bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

The Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Forces, Mohammad Bagheri , said that Tehran has completed its operation and does not plan to continue it, stressing at the same time that if Israel takes any measures, the next Iranian operation will be much larger.

For his part, Israeli War Council Minister Benny Gantz announced his country's intention to form a regional alliance against the Iranian threat and respond to the Iranian attack at the appropriate time and in the appropriate manner.
