Egypt : Pepsi takes a new decision after boycott campaigns

Pepsi-Cola Egypt, a subsidiary of PepsiCo International, has decided to raise the prices of Pepsi Cans, starting next Thursday during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The price of Pepsi cans of 320/330 ml will be 11.75 pounds, and the price of Pepsi cans of 240/250 ml will be 10.75 pounds, bringing the price of Pepsi cans to 12 pounds in stores.

This came despite the companies’ tendency to reduce the prices of goods in implementation of the Egyptian government’s directives to reduce the burdens on citizens. Earlier, Pepsi-Cola Egypt decided to increase the price of a 300 and 350 ml bottle of non-returnable glass in the local markets, bringing the price of the bottle to the consumer to 11.75 pounds, starting in February 2024, despite the continuation of boycott campaigns launched by social media followers, demanding a boycott of all products. affiliated with countries that support the Israeli occupation, amid thousands of victims of Israeli bombing since last October.
