“Bloomberg”: The European Union intends to impose sanctions on 10 companies that deal with Russia

Bloomberg reported that the European Union is preparing to impose sanctions on more than 10 companies from Russia, Turkey, the UAE, China and Hong Kong “for participating in the supply of sanctioned European goods to Russia.”

According to the agency, it is related to the sale of “navigational systems for missiles and antennas, as well as parts used in military computers.”

Last week, a senior European official told reporters in Brussels that the European Union is currently working to draft a 14th package of anti-Russian sanctions that will be directed against circumventing existing sanctions.

French President Emmanuel Macron had said earlier that European Union countries unanimously support tightening sanctions against Russia.

Earlier this month, the US Department of Commerce included 3 institutions from Russia, 6 from China, and two from the United Arab Emirates on its blacklist.

The US Department of Commerce claimed that the activities of these institutions conflict with US national security or foreign policy interests.

Last February, the US Department of Commerce imposed export restrictions on 93 companies from different countries, accusing them of helping the armed forces and the military industrial complex in Russia.

The US authorities claimed that these companies supplied sanctioned precision electronics to Russia.

The sanctions affected 63 companies from Russia, 16 from Turkey, 8 from China, 4 from the Emirates, two from Kyrgyzstan, one from South Korea and another from India.

It is noteworthy that Moscow has repeatedly confirmed that the country will deal with the pressures of sanctions that the West began to exercise several years ago, and is still intensifying. Russia said that Washington and its allies lack the courage to admit the failure of economic restrictions. At the same time, there are growing opinions in the West that the sanctions imposed against Russia are ineffective.
