After his comments on the attack on Iran Ben Gvir was widely criticized for “inflicting shame and harm” on Israel

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir was subjected to widespread criticism from within the government after his comments on the events in Iran and his underestimation of the scale of the response, describing it as a "mockery."

Itamar Ben Gvir sparked great dissatisfaction among members of the Israeli government through a comment he published on Friday morning about the attack attributed to Israel near the city of Isfahan in Iran, in contrast to the position of Israel, which did not issue any public comment on the incident.

Senior government ministers expressed their extreme anger at Ben Gvir, saying that he "caused great harm to Israel with his comments."

Some described him as "an irresponsible person who chases headlines The man is delusional, his behavior is corrupt, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must rebuke him sharply and sternly."

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid denounced it, writing on the “X” platform, explaining: “Never before has a minister in the security cabinet inflicted such serious damage to Israel’s security, image and international standing.”

He added: “With one word, Ben Gvir was able to mock Israel, causing shame on it from Tehran to Washington, Any other prime minister would have removed him from the government this morning. Even the ministers who sit next to him and remain silent like sheep are not immune from responsibility... They are part of a security failure.” And my people are unforgivable.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian confirmed that the drones that sources say Israel launched on the city of Isfahan on Friday did not cause material or human losses.
