The Turkish Ministry of Interior announced that the security services arrested 51 people linked to the terrorist organization ISIS.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya wrote on the “X” platform: “As part of the operations carried out over four days in 21 provinces, 51 people were arrested on suspicion of having links to the terrorist organization ISIS.”
The minister noted that most of the 10 arrests took place in Ankara. During the operation, documents and digital media related to the organization’s activities were also confiscated.
In February, the Turkish Ministry of Interior arrested 147 suspects linked to ISIS. According to ministry data, nearly 3,000 supporters of the terrorist organization were arrested throughout the year.
