The occupation bombs towns in southern Lebanon, and Hezbollah targets Israeli barracks and vehicles

Amid the continued Israeli bombing of areas in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah announced the implementation of 8 attacks on Israeli positions off the border, while Israeli media confirmed that a battalion commander survived a Lebanese missile attack.

At dawn on Monday, Israeli air force fighters bombed the towns of Ramieh, Aitaroun, and Khiam in southern Lebanon, and the surroundings of the towns of Naqoura, Alma al-Shaab, Aita al-Shaab, and Marwahin. The occupation artillery also bombed the surroundings of border towns in southern Lebanon.

The official Lebanese News Agency reported that “enemy warplanes raided, around four in the morning, a house on the outskirts of the town of Ramieh, resulting in material damage to property, crops, and neighboring homes, in conjunction with artillery shelling on the outskirts of the towns of Ramieh and Aita al-Shaab in the central sector.”

The source added, "The enemy reconnaissance aircraft were flying all night until this morning (Monday) over the villages of Tire and Bint Jbeil districts, and the enemy also fired light bombs over the villages of the western and central sectors, reaching the outskirts of the city of Tire."

For his part, the Israeli occupation army spokesman said that his planes simultaneously bombed 4 Hezbollah sites in Lebanon.

He explained that among the targeted sites were infrastructure and a Hezbollah observation point in the Aitaroun area, a military compound affiliated with the party in Alma al-Shaab, and two observation points in Marwahin and Aita al-Shaab.

Chief of Staff of the occupation army, Herzi Halevy, said that his forces were determined to harm Hezbollah members in Lebanon.

He added that the army would not return the residents of the north to their homes until security and stability were fully established there, as he put it.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that a senior Israeli officer survived after Hezbollah fired a guided missile at midnight against a military vehicle on the northern border.

She added that the battalion commander was not injured, but the vehicle was severely damaged.

On the other hand, Hezbollah said that it targeted with missile weapons the Al-Samaqa site in the Kafr Shuba hills, and bombarded Israeli vehicles with artillery shells as they entered the Al-Malikiyah site.

The party said that it bombed with rocket weapons two gatherings of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Mitat barracks and opposite the town of Wazzani.

The party also announced the bombing of the Al-Marj and Al-Matula sites, and the targeting of spy equipment in the Al-Asi site.

Recently, threats have escalated from Israeli officials to expand attacks on Lebanese territory unless Hezbollah fighters withdraw away from the border with northern Israel.
