On Wednesday evening, the Israeli occupation army announced the death of a sergeant in its ranks following a clash in the Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll since the beginning of the war to 597.

The army said, in a statement on its website, that “A sergeant in the 435th Battalion, Givati Brigade, Nissim Kahlon (21 years old), from the city of Hadera (north), was killed in a clash in the southern Gaza Strip.”
