The Houthis announce the targeting of an American ship in the Red Sea

The Ansar Allah Houthi group announced, at dawn on Tuesday, that it had targeted the American ship “Pinocchio” in the Red Sea with a number of suitable naval missiles, and that the hit was accurate.

The military spokesman for Ansar Allah, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said in a statement: “We will continue to prevent Israeli navigation or navigation heading to the ports of occupied Palestine until the aggression and siege in Gaza stops.”

He added: "Our operations will escalate, with the help of God Almighty, during the month of Ramadan, the month of jihad, in victory and support for the oppressed Palestinian people and for our mujahideen brothers in Gaza."

The Houthi "Ansar Allah" group said earlier that Washington and London bear the repercussions of the "militarization" of the Red Sea, stressing that targeting Israeli ships or those heading to Israel aims to put pressure on stopping the war on Gaza.

The "Ansar Allah" group targets cargo  ships in the Red Sea owned and operated by Israeli companies that transport goods to and from Israel, in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza, while the United States and its allies "in response" formed a military force to deal with the Houthi strikes.

American and British aircraft launched  several strikes on various areas  in Yemen, while the American army sometimes carried out separate missions separately.
