Experts at Bauman Technical University in Moscow have developed a new digital service that helps predict the quality of polymers used in industrial fields.
According to the available information, the new “PolymerAI” digital service relies on artificial intelligence techniques to help users determine the quality of industrial materials, as it allows the user to determine the standards of strength, flexibility, and extensibility of the polymer materials that he wants to use in a specific industrial field. The digital algorithms in this service are provided with a base. Extensive data on the structures of polymers, allowing them to determine the physical properties of materials and their molecular structures.
Regarding the topic, researcher and expert at Bauman University, Ivan Zlobin, said: “The new service helps in finding promising polymer materials with distinct properties, and contributes to improving the quality of materials used in industry.”
He added: "We can rely on this service, for example, to choose a type of durable and lightweight plastic that absorbs shocks in accidents and protects car drivers and passengers from injuries that may result."
