The spokesman for the Palestinian Red Crescent in the Gaza Strip indicated the collapse of the health system in the Strip, and that medical teams are unable to perform their duties due to the continued Israeli bombing.
The spokesman added in a statement on Monday that "the occupation forces are targeting civilians and ambulance crews, and medical teams are unable to perform their duties due to the continued aggression."
He continued: "There are no mechanisms in place for the Civil Defense to recover the victims and injured."
He stressed: "We need an urgent international solution to stop the attacks, protect the citizens of Gaza, and enable medical teams to carry out their health tasks to the fullest."
Earlier today, medical sources described the health situation in the Gaza Strip as “extremely catastrophic” as a result of the failure to bring in the necessary medical aid, noting that “the occupation deliberately caused an unspeakable humanitarian and health catastrophe, which contributed to the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases.”
The war in Gaza continues for its 150th day, leaving more than 30,000 dead so far, while Hamas and Israel are close to reaching a ceasefire agreement before the month of Ramadan.
