The Russian Defense Ministry announced that a Russian infantry battalion led by Lieutenant Colonel Vadim Basarapets destroyed up to 10 armored vehicles and about 80 military personnel of Ukrainian forces while liberating a town.

The ministry said in a statement: “During the combat mission to liberate a town, Lieutenant Colonel Vadim Basarabetz organized simultaneous attacks on the enemy from the front and flanks. As a result of fierce battles with enemy forces and thanks to the dedication and skill of Lieutenant Colonel Basarabetz, his unit achieved superiority on the battlefield and destroyed up to ten armored vehicles.” "The enemy's armored vehicle and about 80 Ukrainian militants."

The ministry explained that the rest of the Ukrainian units retreated and withdrew from the town, and thanks to the performance of the Basarapets forces, the Russian infantry forces were able to significantly defeat the advanced enemy forces and liberate the town from the Ukrainian armed forces.

The Ministry also spoke about the infantry company led by Lieutenant Muslim Muslimov, which stormed positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, where Muslimov led the vanguard of the company and discovered an enemy observation point from which artillery fire was fired against the advancing Russian units.

Muslimov and his soldiers attacked the enemy and destroyed observation units, after which the infantry company under the command of Lieutenant Muslimov captured the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which allowed the main forces of the battalion's tactical group to be brought into battle and to break through the enemy's defenses. Within a month, the company led by Muslimov expelled the Ukrainian army from eight fortified points.

In the same context, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that Kiev forces have lost more than 71,000 personnel and 11,000 military vehicles and weapons since the beginning of the year, more than 3 times their losses for the same period last year.

He pointed to the attempts of the Kiev regime, with the knowledge of the West, to launch attacks on voting centers, as Russian forces strengthened their security to prevent terrorist attacks during the elections, and 419 marches and 67 missiles were shot down.

Shoigu stressed that Russian forces in the area of ​​the military operation in Ukraine will continue their tasks and advance on all axes.
