Musk: I will not donate to any of the US presidential candidates

The owner of the X platform, the American billionaire Elon Musk, said that he will not donate money to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump or Democratic President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential elections.

A source confirmed to Reuters that Trump and Musk met with a small group of other people in Florida over the weekend, as the former president sought to attract money for his campaign.

Bloomberg reported that Musk is at the top of the list of potential sponsors for Trump's presidential campaign.

Musk denied these reports, and wrote in a post on the “X” platform: “To be clear, I will not donate money to any of the candidates for the position of President of the United States.”

The United States is preparing for a new confrontation between Biden and Trump on November 5, four years after the Democratic president defeated his Republican rival and removed him from the White House in the 2020 elections.

Each of them achieved a major victory this week on Super Tuesday, which witnessed primary elections for the Democratic and Republican parties in several states.

Trump became the automatic nominee of the Republican Party after his rival , former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, withdrew.

As for Biden, he is still competing with author Marianne Williamson , after the US representative from the US state of Minnesota, Dean Phillips, withdrew.
