Martyrs and wounded in Israeli raids on an aid distribution center in the central Gaza Strip and tents for displaced people in Rafah

Gaza: At least nine Palestinians were martyred and several others were injured today, Thursday, in an Israeli bombing that targeted an aid distribution center in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Palestinian medical sources said that the bodies of nine Palestinians and a number of wounded were transferred to Al-Awda Hospital in the camp and Al-Aqsa Hospital in the city of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, noting that some of the bodies arrived in pieces.

Eyewitnesses reported that reconnaissance aircraft fired two missiles at an aid distribution center near the Al-Ahly Club in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

In Rafah, two Palestinians were martyred and others were injured, on Thursday, in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house, despite international warnings of the danger of launching a military operation against the city, which was crowded with displaced people who took refuge there as their last “safe” refuge.

Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli warplanes bombed a house in the Al-Zuhur neighborhood, north of Rafah, resulting in martyrs and injuries, including children and the elderly, on the fourth day of Ramadan.

Medical teams and Civil Defense (Civil Protection) worked to recover the bodies and wounded from under the rubble of the house that was destroyed by the bombing.

Recently, the Israeli war cabinet discussed the plan to “evacuate” the Palestinians from Rafah in preparation for its invasion, despite international warnings that such a step might lead to massacres against hundreds of thousands of displaced people who have nowhere else to go, after they were forced to flee from all areas. The sector has been under the weight of the war that has been raging for about 6 months.

Despite the start of the month of Ramadan, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, leaving tens of thousands of civilian victims, most of them children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive destruction of infrastructure, which led to Tel Aviv appearing before the International Court of Justice. Charged with “genocide.”
