Fares - Iranian media reported that 100 villages in Dashtiari, Qasrqand, Nikshahr and Chabahar in Iran were affected by floods in recent days.
The rains were so intense that the Shikallak, Khairabad and Zardan dams overflowed, according to what Fars Agency reported.
These heavy rains caused damage to roads and the agricultural sector.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Red Crescent said that more than 150 teams are providing assistance to the people.
The director of the Red Crescent in Sistan and Baluchestan Province explained: “1,634 blankets, 854 carpets, and 767 food parcels were distributed for 72 hours to families affected by the floods. 4,578 people were provided relief from the floods in the south of the province, and emergency accommodation was provided for 1,400 people.”
The Minister of the Interior arrived earlier at Qanark Airport to visit the flooded areas in southern Sistan and Baluchestan.
The head of Crisis Management indicated that at the end of the night, electricity will be delivered to all the villages of Sistan and Baluchestan, and the edges of some roads destroyed by the flood are now being rebuilt.
