Fars Agency reported that the largest cyber attack in the history of Iran was confronted on February 28, on the eve of the elections for Parliament and the Assembly of Experts, and the attack speed reached 136 million requests per second.
The agency said in its report: “The largest cyber attack in the country’s history occurred on February 28 at a speed of 136 million packets (requests) per second and was completely repelled.”
She noted that a few days before the elections in Iran , about 160 cyber attacks were repelled.
On March 1, elections for the Shura Council and the Assembly of Experts were held in Iran.
Meta also announced on February 9 that it had banned the accounts of the Iranian Supreme Leader , Ali Khamenei, on the Facebook and Instagram platforms, amid tense relations between the United States and Iran against the backdrop of the war in Gaza.
