Peter Federico, the Real Madrid player loaned to Valencia, was subjected to a barrage of racist insults from some Real Madrid fans, following the two teams’ match (2-2) last Saturday, in the 27th round of the Spanish League.
The 21-year-old came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute, and gave a distinguished performance in the match, and almost scored a goal that gave his team victory, knowing that he left just two months ago from the Real Madrid Academy on loan to Valencia, in search of an opportunity to play in La Liga.
Federico decided to close comments on his accounts on social media platforms, after he received racist insults and insults on his accounts.
For its part, Valencia Club said in an official statement: “We affirm our commitment to combating discrimination in all its forms. It is unacceptable for some comments that encourage hatred, which our player Peter Federico was subjected to, to appear. For the sake of professional football and a society free of discrimination and violence, we condemn what It happened".
The match witnessed a state of tension, after the match referee blew the final whistle, moments before Jude Bellingham scored Real Madrid's victory goal (which was not counted).
