Including 10 policemen 17 were martyred in the occupation bombing of the aid security force in Shuja’iya

The Government Information Office in Gaza announced the martyrdom of 17 people, including 10 policemen, in an Israeli occupation bombing of a police force working to secure aid in the Shujaiya neighborhood.

The government media office in the Gaza Strip reported on Friday that 17 Palestinians, including a woman, were martyred in two Israeli raids that targeted an officer and a police force in two separate attacks in the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

The office stated in a statement, “The Israeli occupation army committed a massacre by bombing a police force and assassinating one of its officers in Shuja’iya, in two separate crimes that claimed the lives of 17 martyrs.”

He explained, "The occupation army committed a new massacre today, Friday, by bombing a police force from the aid security police that was part of its humanitarian civil work in the Shujaiya Sports Club, which led to the martyrdom of 10 police officers and citizens, including a Palestinian woman."

He added: "In another crime, the occupation army assassinated a Palestinian police officer at Al-Sanafour Roundabout in Al-Shuja'iya neighborhood, along with members of his family, which led to their martyrdom and the martyrdom of a number of bystanders, with a total of 7 martyrs."

The "government journalist" expressed his condemnation and denunciation of "the crimes committed by the occupation army and its continuous targeting of the civilian police forces that provide humanitarian services to our Palestinian people."

He called on international organizations, bodies and countries of the free world to "condemn the occupation's crimes against humanity and in violation of international law that it is committing in the Gaza Strip."

He called for "exerting pressure on the occupation to stop the war of genocide, stop the war of starvation, and stop the massacres against our Palestinian people, especially against civilians, children and women."

During the past weeks, the Israeli occupation army targeted figures linked to securing and delivering aid to the northern Gaza Strip, the most prominent of whom was the head of the Operations Directorate of the Internal Security Service of the Hamas-run Gaza government, Fayek al-Mabhouh.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has continued its devastating war on the Gaza Strip despite its appearance before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing “genocide” crimes against the Palestinians.

In addition to human losses, the war caused an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, massive destruction of infrastructure and property, and the displacement of about two million Palestinians out of about 2.3 million in Gaza, according to Palestinian and UN data.
