Government Media Office in Gaza: 120,000 families are suffering from real famine in the north of the Strip

The government media office in Gaza announced that 120,000 families are suffering from real famine in the north of the Strip, and that 80% of the homes in Gaza and its north have become uninhabitable.

The head of the government media office said on Saturday in a statement, "The Gaza Strip is experiencing an Israeli war of starvation, and that 120,000 families are suffering from real famine in the northern Gaza Strip."

He added: "No aid entered, and the occupation deliberately did so as part of its policy of ethnic cleansing," noting that "everyone has become dependent on the occupation's policy."

The statement continued, "The aid dropped by air is not sufficient, and the occupation is obstructing the entry of aid, and the Gaza Strip crossings must be activated."

He added, "The occupation deliberately carried out a war of starvation as part of its comprehensive war on the Gaza Strip."

The statement concluded: “With the threat of famine in northern Gaza, any effort can satisfy the people’s livelihood.”

Yesterday, the death toll of children in Gaza as a result of food shortages rose to nineteen, amid warnings that these numbers will worsen due to the ongoing siege and starvation war launched by Israel against the civilian population.

The war in Gaza has entered its 155th day, as the Israeli army continues its intense bombardment, especially on Khan Yunis and Rafah in the south, while the tragic humanitarian conditions in the Strip are exacerbated by the lack of food and water.
