Foods that help cell regeneration

Dr. Marina Makesha, a Russian nutrition expert, spoke about some foodstuffs that help strengthen the immune system and health condition in general, especially in the spring.

She points out that according to official statistics, a third of people in the spring suffer from exacerbation of chronic diseases due to a lack of vitamins and minerals after the winter. However, some foodstuffs can help solve this problem. Such as:

Sauerkraut: Sauerkraut is an excellent source of probiotics, which help strengthen and maintain healthy microflora in the intestines. It turns out that cabbage contains 12 types of microorganisms that prevent the proliferation of “bad” bacteria and support the body’s overall health. In addition, cabbage contains antioxidants, including vitamin C, which is essential for maintaining health.

The expert advises eating sauerkraut regularly 2-3 times a week, knowing that eating 150 grams of cabbage daily provides the body with the nutrients necessary to maintain immunity.

- Cod liver. Cod liver is considered the most important source of vitamin D, which plays an important role in supporting bone health, the immune system, and mental health. Its deficiency can lead to depression.

In addition, cod liver is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which help reduce inflammation, support brain health, and protect against neurodegenerative diseases. Therefore, eating cod liver in moderation brings great benefit to the body's health.

- Anthocyanins: Anthocyanin pigment gives bright purple, cherry, and burgundy color to a number of plant foods. Anthocyanins are powerful antioxidants that promote overall cell regeneration and contribute to maintaining health.

In addition, this dye helps maintain the elasticity of blood vessels and prevents atherosclerosis. Because it helps lower the level of cholesterol in the blood and improve blood circulation, which positively affects the work of the heart and blood vessels. It also helps prevent various diseases, including vision problems, neurodegenerative diseases, and even some types of cancer. Regular consumption of foods containing anthocyanins helps strengthen the immune system and improve health.

Sources of anthocyanins are products such as pomegranate, cherry, plum, eggplant, and others.
