Erdogan's son-in-law is likely to run for the Turkish presidential elections

Selcuk Bayraktar, technical director of the Turkish drone company Baykar, son-in-law of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, suggested his candidacy for the Turkish presidential elections, adding that everything will depend on the circumstances.

In his previous comment about the possibility of Erdogan asking him to participate in the upcoming elections, Bayraktar said: “It is possible that I will agree, but that will depend on the circumstances.”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on March 8 that the upcoming municipal elections, which will be held on March 31, will be the last in his political career.

Later, spokesman for the ruling Justice and Development Party, Omer Celik, indicated that Erdogan’s statement did not mean his retirement from politics.
