According to the Saudi news agency SPA, issues of mutual interest were also discussed in the meeting between the Saudi Crown Prince and the Pakistani Army Chief.
Saudi Arabia 's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met with Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir at his office in Jeddah on Tuesday to discuss various aspects of military cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
According to the Saudi news agency SPA, General Asim Munir was welcomed upon arrival at the office of Prime Minister Muhammad bin Salman.
The Saudi Crown Prince also discussed matters of mutual interest in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Minister of Defense Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Cabinet Member and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed Muhammad Al-Aiban, Chief of General Intelligence Khalid bin Ali Al Hamidan, and others.
Apart from them, the Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Army, Lt. Gen. Fayaz bin Hamid Al-Rawali, and the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Pakistan, Nawaf Al-Maliki, also participated in the meeting.
Pakistan 's delegation included Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq, Secretary to the Commander of the Pakistani Army Major General Muhammad Jawad Tariq and Military Attaché of Pakistan Embassy in the Kingdom Brigadier Retired Muhammad Asim.
This meeting has taken place at a time when Prince Muhammad bin Salman reiterated his country's support for Pakistan in a telephone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
While congratulating Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on assuming office, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said that there are close fraternal relations between the two countries.
