The International Astronomy Center revealed that the State of Malaysia and the Sultanate of Brunei announced that Tuesday, March 12, is the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
The Astronomy Center posted a tweet on its official account on the “X” platform in which it said: “Malaysia announces that it is not possible to see the crescent moon, and that Tuesday, March 12, is the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan.”
The International Astronomy Center also published another tweet in which it said: “The Sultanate of Brunei announces that Tuesday, March 12, is the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, due to the inability to see the crescent moon from several locations in the Sultanate.”
Australia was the first country to announce the date of the first day of fasting, as the Australian Fatwa Council officially announced earlier that Tuesday, March 12, is the first day of Ramadan in Australia.
