Former Turkish Prime Minister and leader of the opposition "Future" Party, Ahmet Davutoglu, called on the government to stop trade relations with Israel, threatening to "cause an uproar" after the elections on March 31.
He said in an interview published on the “X” platform: “Now, during the elections, we talk about it less to prevent accusations of political hypocrisy. But I announce that after the elections, we will raise a fuss about continuing trade with Israel while the genocide continues in Gaza.”
Earlier, media outlets reported from the Turkish Statistics Office that “Ankara supplied Israel with weapons and ammunition last January.”
For its part, the Turkish Ministry of Trade explained that the aforementioned exports were limited to "fuel and that the ammunition included components for hunting rifles and cartridges."
An intriguing piece of information.
