Radio Europe 1 reported that dozens of unidentified people attacked a high school in the Val-de-Marne district on the outskirts of Paris, and threw Molotov cocktails at it.
The radio added: "Dozens of masked people attacked the school and threw Molotov cocktails on the institution's grounds They also set fire to garbage cans in front of the high school."
The police said that the security personnel who arrived at the scene were attacked by these unknown persons. They threw stones at a police car and a car belonging to the municipal office. A security man was injured. The police did not succeed in dispersing the crowd until additional units arrived to assist them. One person was detained.
The local Ministry of Education announced that teachers had accommodated students inside the school building, adding that lessons continued as normal.
The radio reported that the cause of the attack remains mysterious until now.
