An RT correspondent reported that a fire broke out at the filming headquarters of one of the series in Al-Ahram Studio in the Omraniya area in Giza Governorate, Cairo.
Muhammad Al-Shawaf, the author of the “Al-Muallem” series, revealed on Facebook: “The filming studio for the Al-Muallem series was completely burned down. A huge fire devours the pyramids. There is no power or strength, not in God. O Lord, grant us your kindness.”
Our correspondent confirmed that Giza Governorate announced the evacuation of properties adjacent to Al-Ahram Studio until the completion of firefighting work, in order to ensure the safety of citizens.
He stated that the civil protection forces in Giza controlled the fire 3 hours after it broke out and it consumed the decorations of the series starring the artist Mostafa Shaaban.
