At least 43 people were killed and dozens of others were injured as a result of a fire in a 6-storey commercial complex in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Health Minister Samanta Lal Sen said that the fire broke out late yesterday, Thursday, in the building located in the Bailey Road area in Dhaka.
He added that firefighters rescued the survivors and recovered the bodies, stressing that by early Friday (local time) at least 43 people had died and 22 others were being treated.
For their part, firefighters said that the fire broke out in a popular restaurant on the first floor of the building, and that it trapped many people.
It's the worst.
