Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced that the application will launch an advertising platform in about 100 countries in March, which will enable channel owners on the application to reap profits from the ads published on their channels.
Regarding the issue, Durov said: “Channel owners will be able to obtain 50% of the profits that Telegram receives by publishing advertisements on their channels. Payment and withdrawal of funds for these advertisements will be made through the TON electronic payment service.”
He added: "Telegram channels achieve a trillion views every month, but only 10% of these views are currently attracted through advertisements."
Durov pointed out that channel owners on Telegram will be able to withdraw the money they will receive from advertising services, or they can reinvest their profits to develop and promote their channels.
It should be noted that those in charge of the Telegram applications launched this year updates to the applications that brought with them many new features for users, including a feature that enables the user to know the exact time at which his messages sent in personal chats were read, and a feature that enables users of Premium subscriptions to block messages from Anyone who does not use this type of subscription in the app.
Pavel Durov's announcement of Telegram's upcoming advertising platform offers channel owners a revenue opportunity, signaling continued innovation in the app's user experience.
