"Sofia Globe": The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense supplies Ukraine with old armored vehicles

The Bulgarian newspaper Sofia Globe reported that Bulgarian Defense Minister Todor Tagarev confirmed that the used armored vehicles pledged to provide to Kiev are on their way to Ukraine.

In January, Defense Minister Todor Tagaryev said that Bulgaria had not yet delivered the promised batch of used armored vehicles to Ukraine as it was looking for a source to finance their transfer.

The newspaper explained: Several months after the Bulgarian Parliament and government agreed to send armor, 100 armored vehicles were sent to Ukraine, which were armored vehicles that were previously owned by the Bulgarian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In November 2023, the Bulgarian People's Assembly (Parliament) approved an agreement allowing the supply of 100 old armored personnel carriers to Kiev for free. The armored vehicles had previously been stored in the warehouses of the Bulgarian Ministry of the Interior since the 1980s.

Under the agreement, the Ukrainian side will be provided with armored vehicles from the country's stocks, as well as spare parts for their maintenance.

Meaning that the talk here - according to the newspaper - is about about 100 armored personnel carriers that were produced about 40 years ago, and were stored in the warehouses of the Bulgarian Ministry of the Interior, and the Bulgarian security forces were not using them.

Russia had previously warned NATO countries that supplying Ukraine with weapons would not change anything in the balance of power in the battle, but would only prolong the suffering of the Ukrainian people.

The Pentagon: The Quds Force poses a direct threat to the security of Americans

The head of the US Central Command, Michael Corella, confirmed that the "Quds Force" of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard poses a direct threat to the security of Americans.

“The Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Quds Force and its associated groups continue to pose a direct threat to the stability of Iraq and the region and the security of Americans,” Kurella said.

He added: "We will continue to take appropriate steps and do everything necessary to protect our citizens and bring those who threaten their safety to justice."

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced air strikes on Iraq and Syria against the "Quds Force" of the  Iranian Revolutionary Guard and  pro-Iranian groups.

An RT correspondent reported that  bombing targeted targets in the countryside of Al-Mayadeen and Al-Bukamal, eastern Syria, and the headquarters of Iraqi factions  in the Al-Sikak area in Al-Qaim, western Iraq.

Syrian television confirmed  that a number of people were killed and wounded as a result of the American attacks .

The American authorities had previously said that American forces in Jordan were attacked by the Iraqi Islamic Resistance, and according to the Pentagon, this strike resulted in the death of 3 American soldiers and the wounding of more than 40 others.

Washington accused groups allied with Iran of being behind the attack and confirmed that it would respond, while  Tehran denied responsibility  and said that the "Islamic resistance" takes its decisions without referring to Tehran.
