North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Sung Kyung confirmed that the United States has lost its moral right to its seat in the Security Council “because of its obstruction of a draft resolution on a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.”
Keung pointed out that Washington "does not take into account, at all, the human casualties in other countries as it seeks to achieve its selfish geopolitical interests and achieve its hegemony."
The North Korean Central News Agency quoted the deputy minister as saying: “After more than 100 days of crisis in the Middle East, drenched in the blood of innocent Palestinians, the world has come to the conclusion that the United States no longer has a place in the United Nations Security Council, whose mission is In ensuring international peace and security.
He pointed out that the United States used its veto on February 20 in the Security Council against a resolution submitted by Algeria, noting that it “reflected the unanimous opinion of the international community on the necessity of immediately stopping the brutal mass killings of the Palestinian population by the Israeli side.”
He added: "The United States acknowledged its complicity in the inhumane crimes committed by Israel , which turned the Gaza Strip into a mass grave and hell, and killed tens of thousands of Palestinians."
He said: "The United States has once again and mercilessly trampled on the international community's desire for peace under the ridiculous pretext that this may have a negative impact on the negotiations for the release of the hostages."
Demonstrators storm a hotel where Biden was staying, demanding the declaration of a ceasefire in Gaza
American media reported that about 30 demonstrators supporting the Palestinian cause infiltrated the hotel where President Joe Biden was staying in San Francisco, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Biden was at the Fairmont Hotel, where he met earlier with the widow and daughter of opposition figure Alexei Navalny, whose death was announced by the Russian Prison Service.
The protest group mingled with hotel guests, before chanting over a loudspeaker as Biden was due to leave, chanting: "Biden, Biden, you cannot hide. We are accusing you of genocide."
They raised a banner reading: “Stop funding genocide: Stop all US aid to Israel.” At least one demonstrator was wearing a yarmulke.
They followed the White House press team through the hotel to make their point, as Biden and his team prepared to leave.
