Palestinian presidential spokesman, Nabil Abu Rudeina, said during his participation in the extraordinary meeting of information ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries, in Istanbul, that Israel is waging war against the people of Palestine “instead of the United States,” calling on Islamic countries to pressure America to stop the war.
Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina stated that Israel is waging war against the people of his country “instead of the United States.”
Abu Rudeina's statements came in a speech he delivered during the extraordinary meeting of information ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation countries in Istanbul, on Saturday.
He pointed out that the United States "obstructed several ceasefire resolutions in the United Nations Security Council, and sent its aircraft carriers to the Mediterranean for the sake of Israel."
Abu Rudeina called on the Arab and Islamic countries to put pressure on the United States to stop the war on the Palestinian people, and not be satisfied with statements.
He stated, "Gaza is an integral part of the State of Palestine and Israel will not win any war against the Palestinians. We have will, determination, and sanctities. We will not surrender, and we have been struggling for a hundred years against the occupation."
He pointed out that the Israeli attacks on Palestinian sanctities are an attack on Arab and Islamic sanctities.
He added: "Jerusalem and the holy sites are being subjected to aggression, and everyone must bear their responsibilities."
Abu Rudeina called on the world to stand with the Palestine Liberation Organization, which represents all segments of the Palestinian people.
Ukrainian drone attack and Moscow confirms it: a fire in a large steel factory
A Ukrainian security source confirmed that the Military Intelligence and the Ukrainian Security Service launched an attack with Ukrainian drones on a large Russian steel factory, while the Russian authorities reported that a fire in the intended factory had been extinguished.
A Ukrainian source reported on Saturday that Ukrainian drones attacked a large Russian steel factory during the night, causing a huge fire to break out there.
The source confirmed that the attack, which was a joint operation between military intelligence and the Ukrainian Security Service, caused a huge fire that led to the evacuation of workers from the factory.
He added: “The raw materials from this facility are used in the manufacture of Russian missiles, artillery and drones, so they are a legitimate target for Ukraine,” while he did not specify the location of the factory.
On the other hand, the governor of the Russian Lipetsk region said that the production of the factory, located in the city of the same name and about 400 kilometers north of the Ukrainian border, represents about 18% of Russia’s steel production.
He explained that a fire apparently caused by a drone attack on the factory operated by the Russian steel industry company "NLMK" was extinguished, without any deaths or injuries.
A video on social media, said to be from Lipetsk, revealed an explosion resulting in orange flames that lit up the night sky.
NLMK said on social media that the fire broke out at 1:40 a.m. local time (2240 GMT, Friday).
Ukrainian drone attacks on the Russian army and industrial targets have increased over the past few months, notably targeting oil facilities that Kiev says are “vital to the Russian war effort.”
The Russian authorities announced that they shot down Ukrainian drones over the regions of Lipetsk, Kursk, and Tula during the night.
