121 days of war martyrs and wounded in Israeli raids that destroyed a mosque and homes in Gaza

The Israeli occupation intensified its attacks on Gaza for the 121st day, resulting in a number of martyrs and wounded, and also destroying a mosque and a number of homes in the city of Deir al-Balah, at a time when UNRWA pledged to do its utmost to continue its work in supporting the residents of the Gaza Strip.

The Gaza Strip witnessed a series of intense Israeli attacks that targeted various areas on Sunday evening, resulting in martyrs, injuries, the destruction of citizens’ homes, and sabotage of infrastructure.

In the Al-Hakar area in Deir Al-Balah, in the middle of the Gaza Strip, at least 7 citizens were martyred and others were injured, as a result of an Israeli bombing that targeted a house.

Also, three citizens were martyred as a result of being targeted by a drone between the Saraya and Aviation intersections in the center of Gaza City, while four citizens were martyred in an Israeli raid on a house in the Al-Rimal neighborhood.

Israeli helicopters opened heavy fire east of the Bureij refugee camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip, while Al-Baraka Street in Deir al-Balah witnessed Israeli bombing, and occupation aircraft also raided the vicinity of the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque in the Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City.

Meanwhile, members of the armed Palestinian factions are engaged in clashes with the Israeli occupation army forces penetrating the western areas of Gaza City and the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The occupation army called on Palestinians in various areas in Gaza City to go to the city of Deir al-Balah in the center of the Strip.

Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee, in a post on his account on the (X) platform, called on residents west of Gaza City in the neighborhoods of Al-Nasr, Sheikh Radwan, Beach Camp, North and South Sands, Al-Sabra, Sheikh Ajlin and Tal Al-Hawa to evacuate their areas of presence and move through Al-Rashid (Al-Bahr) Street towards shelters. Known in Deir al-Balah (central).

Bombing homes and a mosque in Deir al-Balah

Eyewitnesses in Deir al-Balah reported that the Israeli army bombed three homes and the Shuhada Mosque in the city, resulting in a number of martyrs and wounded, and widespread destruction of nearby homes and infrastructure.

Witnesses explained that civil defense crews and medical teams evacuated the injured and martyrs from the raid that targeted the house and the mosque, using simple tools.

In the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, the occupation army bombed various areas in the city in the last hours, using aircraft and artillery, resulting in martyrs and wounded (the number was not specified).

A humanitarian disaster at Al Amal Hospital

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society warned in a statement of "a humanitarian catastrophe in the besieged Al-Amal Hospital after 14 days of siege, the food stock for the displaced has run out, and the quantities of fuel available are sufficient for only one week to operate the hospital."

She pointed to the depletion of some medical consumables and medicines and a severe scarcity of medications for chronic diseases, as well as the basic needs of some special groups, such as milk and diapers for children and diapers for the elderly and people with disabilities.

Since January 22, the Israeli army has launched a series of intense air and artillery raids on Khan Yunis, and in the vicinity of its hospitals, amid ground advances by its vehicles in the southern and western areas of the city, which prompted thousands of Palestinians to flee from it.

In Rafah, occupation aircraft launched raids targeting civilian homes, an empty car, and agricultural lands, resulting in wounded Palestinians.

Eyewitnesses explained that the Israeli army launched two raids in the Al-Geneina neighborhood, east of the city of Rafah. The first targeted an empty car next to the cemetery, and the second targeted an empty land next to the Adnan Abu Taha intersection, resulting in the injury of a number of passers-by.

Rafah currently hosts more than half of Gaza's population, displaced by the war, and is also the main route for humanitarian aid to 2.3 million people in urgent need.

The sound of violent clashes was heard in the western and southern areas of Gaza City, and the western areas of Khan Yunis (south), and columns of smoke were seen rising into the sky.

Witnesses in the Al-Sabra area, south of Gaza City, reported that Israeli artillery was still bombing Palestinian homes, which led to the death and injury of a number of the Rantisi family, who were displaced to that area from the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.

Witnesses explained that Israeli military vehicles are still stationed near the Communications Roundabout and Haidar Roundabout, west of Gaza City. It is also stationed in the industrial area and the Passports area, where it fires shells towards Palestinian areas west and south of the city. While warplanes fly continuously, quadcopter planes fire live bullets at everyone in the streets.

For its part, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) pledged on Sunday to do our utmost as a humanitarian organization to continue its indispensable work to support the residents of the Gaza Strip.

UNRWA explained in a blog post on the “X” platform: “Despite repeated calls, there is still no ceasefire for humanitarian reasons.”

As of last January 30, 18 countries and the European Union had decided to suspend their funding to UNRWA, based on Israel’s allegations that 12 of the agency’s employees participated in the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, on Israeli settlements around the Gaza Strip.

Iranian-backed militias launched a drone attack on the American "Omar Field" base in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

Local sources reported on Sunday that the attack was carried out by armed groups stationed west of the Euphrates River, using a number of drones.

On Friday, the US Central Command (Centcom) announced the launch of retaliatory strikes in Iraq and Syria against the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and militias loyal to it.

Centcom said in a statement that US forces “launched, on February 20, air strikes in Iraq and Syria against the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and its affiliated militias.”
