US presidential candidate Nikki Haley responds to Trump for calling her "not tough enough for president"

US presidential candidate Nikki Haley responded to former US President Donald Trump, after he described her as "not tough enough for the presidency."

Haley said in response to Donald Trump in an interview with CNN before the Iowa caucuses: “I find it funny, because when I was at the United Nations, he always told people: Don’t mess with her, she’s solid.”

She added that Trump says this "because he now knows that he is in trouble, and that it is a presidential race that includes competitors. So I know that he knows the truth and this does not bother me at all."

Former US President Donald Trump leads by a large margin over other potential candidates from the Republican Party in terms of voter support, according to a survey conducted by CBS News.

According to the survey, 69% of Republicans intend to vote for Trump in the primaries.

It is noteworthy that this is the highest number obtained by the former US president, after it was 61% in November.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis came in second place with 14%, followed by former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley with 12%.

False report of a fire in the White House

A fake call to the US Emergency Service was recorded stating that a fire had broken out in the White House, and fire engines rushed there on Monday morning, when President Joe Biden and his family were at Camp David.

Fire engines and other emergency vehicles responded to the call shortly after 7 a.m., which reported that the White House was on fire and that a person was trapped inside, an official familiar with the matter said.

Within minutes, District of Columbia fire and emergency medical agencies and U.S. Secret Service personnel reported that the report was false, and called off the response.

Biden is scheduled to return to the White House on Monday afternoon after spending the weekend at the presidential retreat in Maryland, and will participate in a service event in Philadelphia to mark Martin Luther King Jr.
