The movement stressed that “the armed forces will not hesitate to deal appropriately with all hostile threats within the right of legitimate defense of our country, our people, and our nation, and will continue to prevent Israeli ships or those heading to the ports of occupied Palestine from navigating in the Arab and Red Seas until the aggression stops and the siege on our steadfast brothers is lifted.” In the Gaza Strip.

She added: "The Yemeni Armed Forces confirm their full commitment to the continuation of shipping traffic in the Red and Arabian Seas to all destinations except the ports of occupied Palestine."

The German government announces the resumption of arms exports to Saudi Arabia

The German government announced Wednesday that it had approved a missile sale to Saudi Arabia, lifting a long-time ban on arms exports to Riyadh.

German Chancellor Olaf Schulz's spokesman confirmed to reporters that the government had given the green light at the end of 2023 to sell Iris-T missiles to Saudi Arabia, after the information was revealed by Der Spiegel newspaper.

Last Sunday, the German Foreign Ministry announced that it was ready to allow new sales of Eurofighter fighters to Saudi Arabia , as the German veto was blocking a contract concluded in this context years ago.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock told the press during her visit to Israel that the German federal government “does not oppose British considerations” regarding selling more Eurofighter fighters to Saudi Arabia.

Birbock stressed Riyadh's "constructive role" in the security crisis that the region is witnessing since the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation launched by Hamas against Israel on October 7.

Germany has frozen arms sales to Riyadh since the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in late 2018.
